BLENDING REALITIES: A LIVE MIXED REALITY SHOW TO DEMONSTRATE A MACHINE IN ACTION

Overcoming Physical Barriers
Given the complexity of showcasing their advanced print-and-die cutting machine in a limited exhibition space, Kolbus collaborated with Luxoom to develop an interactive experience that reflected their engineering excellence without needing the complete machine on the booth.
 
Facing high logistic costs and the challenges of transporting and setting up their sizable machinery, Kolbus saw an opportunity to initiate a sustainable approach from the beginning. This collaboration resulted in a dynamic and engaging presentation, allowing visitors to interact with both physical machine parts and their virtual counterparts, effectively demonstrating the full capabilities of Kolbus’ innovations while maintaining a sustainable and cost-effective display.

Crafting an Engaging Product Story

Using REVELATE XR as a tool, Luxoom extended a physical machine part virtually, allowing visitors to delve into the machine’s complex processes and features. This interactive show provided a comprehensive view of the machine’s operations, highlighting its most important benefits. Luxoom crafted a compelling product story, wrote a detailed script for two presenters, and managed the show’s logistics, including sending a dedicated presenter to support the Kolbus team on-site.

Impact and Results For Kolbus

By leveraging mixed reality, Kolbus not only showcased their high quality machine but also reduced the environmental and economical impact associated with shipping large equipment.Furthermore, the approach drew substantial visitor attention, positioning Kolbus as an industry innovator at Drupa. The Mixed Reality Show effectively demonstrated Kolbus’s engineering prowess, engaging the audience and making a memorable impact at the event.
